I have over twenty years of experience working with people with disabilities. I have held case management and supervisory positions in this field. I am proudest of the work I have done in direct support of people with disabilities.

Two years ago I chose to take a different career path. I felt that I had strayed from the goals I originally set for myself. I feel that writing is mutually beneficial for the writer and the reader. I want to share my experiences with people in hopes of regaining the focus I once had.

I have several other interests that I am passionate about and they all find their way into my writing. They include: cooking, reading, movies, music (mainly classic rock), fishing, camping, and sports. I collect wolf & lighthouse figurines and pictures. I have toured many Great Lakes lighthouses and would someday like to say I have been to them all.

During my career, I have developed and utilized training modules on various subjects. Some of the subjects that I have taught include identifying and preventing workplace bullying; communication and sensitivity training; customer service; mentoring and case management in social services; and human rights advocacy. Each area has been a challenge that I feel I met head-on and I was honored to share each subject to the best of my ability.

I believe very strongly in advocating for those who cannot speak up for themselves. There is no morally justifiable reason that can be used to excuse any form of abuse. I have been doing research on workplace bullying for about ten years. I am a citizen lobbyist through the Workplace Bullying Institute and I use my blog to share information about this subject and for lobbying purposes. I know what it means to be under the influence of people that have as a sole purpose in life to mistreat others to make themselves feel powerful.

I am a loyal friend & I believe in 2nd chances. Lose my trust and you will have to work very hard to regain it. I wear my heart on my sleeve, but don't mistake my kindness for weakness. I love my friends like family. I love dogs - in fact, I often say that I love my dogs more than most people.

That is really all there is to me - if anyone wants to know more, feel free to ask.
